August 26 is National Dog Day, but at Morris Animal Foundation we are celebrating the occasion all month long! You can, too, by creating a fundraiser honoring all the dogs in your life.
Morris Animal Foundation has been helping our dogs (as well as cats and other animals) have healthier lives for more than 70 years. That’s all thanks to thousands of animal-loving donors like you who support our work and the scientists committed to making advances in veterinary medicine.
This year, we’re highlighting innovative canine health studies from coast to coast through the month of August and, wherever you are, you can make a difference too by supporting these and other critical health studies that will help all dogs have the best chance at a healthier future – studies like:
Denver, Colorado – Morris Animal Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study
University of California, Davis – A potentially safer treatment to help reduce the risk of antibacterial-resistant infections.
Texas A&M University, College Station – A promising probiotic against staph infections that cause pyoderma, the most common skin disease in dogs.
University of Florida, Gainesville – A novel gene-editing strategy to correct genetic defects that may help dogs suffering from dilated cardiomyopathy.
Ohio State University, Columbus – Noninvasive shockwave therapy to bring relief to dogs suffering from lower back pain.
