Distance for Dax: 32 for 32 to Cancel Canine Cancer
Danny Cevette
Distance for Dax
This campaign was created in honor of my best friend, Dax. He brought more joy, loyalty, and love into my life than I could ever properly put into words. He was without a doubt my soul dog and he will always be my best bud.
Unfortunately, cancer is one of the most common diseases affecting golden retrievers. It takes far too many of them, far too soon.
That’s why this campaign is dedicated to supporting the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study through the Morris Animal Foundation — one of the most important research efforts in the world focused on understanding and preventing cancer and other diseases in dogs.
The goal is simple:
To help create a future where dogs like Dax can live longer, healthier lives and prevent the heartbreak I experienced from happening to others.
Every donation made here goes toward research that will improve the health and wellbeing of dogs, just like Dax, everywhere.
To everyone who chooses to support this mission.. thank you. Truly. Your generosity helps turn something incredibly painful into something meaningful, and helps ensure that the love dogs give us can be returned in the form of better care, better knowledge, and better outcomes for generations of dogs to come.
This project is called Distance for Dax, as I will be running 32 miles on my 32nd birthday to honor a dog who meant the world to me, while helping to protect the countless dogs who mean the world to someone else.
Thank you for being a part of it.
