La Randonnee

My name is Doc Muir and I spend most of my time looking after INDY. She is a 7 Y/O Golden Retriever and together we are going to raise $10,000 FOR THE MORRIS FOUNDATION. Specifically their Lifetime Golden Retriever Study.
How? Last year Indy and I trekked nearly 400 Miles through the Pyrenees Mountains of southern France and northern Spain. I was thinking that this year we could turn our hike into a fundraiser for the Lifetime Golden Retriever Study. It is about three hundred and eighty miles from the shores of Lac Leman in Switzerland and by following the GR 5 route through the Alps we will arrive in Nice France on the Mediterranean 380 miles later. By putting my routes and charts along with 3D satellite imagery of each days hike as well as pictures and videos of the days events you will be able to follow our progress as we trek south. Follow us at James Muir on Facebook.
I am only asking for a small donation, as little as One cent per mile or $3.80 for the entire route. Of course more is better so 10 cents a mile seems much more reasonable and of course $1.00 would be PRIMO.
I receive nothing from the donations and will be funding the entire walk myself. In other words your ENTIRE tax deductible donation goes directly to the Morris Animal Foundation.
PLESE help with anything you can by using the following URL:

Morris Animal Foundation is a nonprofit organization that funds science to advance the health of animals around the world. Since its founding in 1948, the Foundation has invested over $155 million in more than 2,700 studies that have led to significant breakthroughs in diagnostics, treatments and preventions to benefit animals worldwide. Please help me support advancing the health of animals everywhere by contributing to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your friends and family. Every dollar we raise will advance this great cause!
The adventure starts on 16 May and should take about 7 weeks.
We’re going a little early so there will be plenty of daylight and it should still be cool, on the other hand there may still be a lot of snow in the higher elevations. But as they say “c’est la vie”, we have several contingency plans and most of the higher portions have alternate routes.

Ask how you can get involved, and together, we can make a difference in the lives of animals!

Thanks for your support,

Doc Muir
