Honoring a Legacy of Love, Loyalty, and Compassion

The Maximus Campaign was established to celebrate the life and enduring legacy of Maximus, a cherished Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel whose gentle spirit, unwavering loyalty, and unconditional love left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Born on June 25, 2006, Maximus spent his life in northern New Jersey surrounded by a devoted family who treasured him deeply. On August 23, 2016, he passed away from mitral valve disease (MVD), a hereditary cardiac condition that disproportionately affects Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and remains one of the breed’s most significant health challenges.

In honor of Maximus’s memory, The Maximus Campaign proudly supports the work of the Morris Animal Foundation, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing animal health through innovative scientific research. Contributions made through this campaign help fund critical studies focused on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases affecting companion animals worldwide.

Throughout his life, Maximus exemplified the extraordinary bond between people and their pets, bringing comfort, happiness, and companionship to those around him. Through The Maximus Campaign, his legacy lives on by supporting research that has the potential to improve and extend the lives of animals for generations to come.
