The Lady Windermere Pudgebottom Memorial

The Lady Windermere Pudgebottom (aka “Winnie”) made her Instagram debut in September of 2020. Little did Winnie’s Mom know that her little bundle of floof would make her way into so many hearts…

Mom, Julie, was given the sad news at that time that Winnie had Oral Malignant Melanoma, Soft Tissue Sarcoma, and Metastatic Lung Cancer. She was told Winnie may only have 2-6 months left to enjoy life. In order to make the most of each moment, Mom decided to document Winnie’s amazing journeys - around the neighborhood, meeting Winnie's furrends and traveling far afield to meet with more furrends and family.

Through our Instagram lens, we watched and enjoyed every second. Winnie was especially well known for her walks, sometimes getting up to the four poop level - unheard of by many pups! She defied the odds and was a champion through and through!

On February 22nd, 2009, Winnie arrived on this earth, and at 12 years and 5 months old after the most superb, loved and loving life, headed off to The Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, July 31st, to be pain free furever.

This memorial fundraiser has been put together so that Winnie will live furever, not only in countless hearts, but also in the hearts of the pups who will be taking advantage of the care and research provided by the Morris Animal Foundation.

Morris Animal Foundation is a nonprofit organization that funds science to advance the health of animals around the world. Since its founding in 1948, the Foundation has invested over $155 million in more than 2,700 studies that have led to significant breakthroughs in diagnostics, treatments and preventions to benefit animals worldwide.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of all animals, being watched over by Winnie!
