As many know we lost our first golden Mandy to Cancer and after beating Cancer last year our amazing Spencer (The inspiring pup at the Boston Marathon for the past 9 years) has lost his brave battle with cancer. Sadly 8 Days later we lost our other angel Penny To Hemangio Sarcoma. We had created a web site with photos, mugs , calendars and more to raise money to help fund the research. We had raised on that website over $4000 Over the past 3 years and have donated it to this study already and now think it is appropriate to have a specific fundraising page in honor of Spencer's courageous battle with cancer. The Morris Animal Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study is one of the largest, most comprehensive prospective canine health studies in the United States. The Study’s purpose is to identify the nutritional, environmental, lifestyle and genetic risk factors for cancer and other diseases in dogs. Each year, with the help of veterinarians and dog owners, the Foundation collects health, environmental and behavioral data on 3,000+ enrolled golden retrievers.
